Albufeira's Fisherman's Festival will take place with Quim Barreiros, Iris, a folklore festival and a lot of typical Algarve cuisine, between the 2nd and 4th of September.
In 2016, the tribute that the Rancho Folclórico and the Town Hall of this county have paid to fishing professionals for 19 years returns to the Praça dos Pescadores and takes place between 18 pm and 00 am.
As always, one of the main attractions of the party are the typical delicacies, which can be tasted in the different taverns, which will be promoted by associations from Albufeira and Olhos d'Água.
On the menu you can find snacks such as horse mackerel, cuttlefish with ink, whelk feijoada, cataplana, xerém, seafood, dom rodrigos and fig, almond and carob cakes.
At the same time, there is a musical entertainment program that will bring well-known artists to the center of Albufeira.
On the 2nd of September, the Algarve's Iris take to the stage, on the 3rd, a Saturday, the 20th Albufeira Folklore Festival takes place and on the Sunday, the 4th, there is a concert with Quim Barreiros.
The Municipality of Albufeira, which promotes these parties in partnership with the Rancho Folclórico de Albufeira, estimates that thousands of people, including Albufeires, people from other parts of the Algarve and tourists, attend this event.
