This Sunday, Portimonense beat Sporting da Covilhã, by 2-1, and thus maintains the leadership of the Segunda Liga.

Captain Ricardo Pessoa opened the scoring with a free-kick, in the course of the 2nd half, at 68 minutes.

Pires, two minutes later, scored the 2nd goal in Alvinegro, after an assist from Buba.

Covilhã still reduced by Ponde (83 minutes), but the final victory belonged to the Algarve, in this game of the fifth round of the II Portuguese Football League, played at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão.

In five rounds, Portimonense already has four wins and one draw.
