Concerts by Mariza, Katia Guerreiro with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Tony Carreira, HMB, a Loulé Urban Sunset by Hugo Tabaco and even a Night Parade. These are the ingredients of the first edition of «Loulé Summer», which will take place in various spaces in the municipality, in the second half of August.
All initiatives are free, with the exception of the show by Mariza.
Music will thus be one of the main aspects of this initiative by the Municipality of Loulé, which bets on national names. The event starts on August 15, at 21 pm, with the performance of the fado singer Mariza, at Largo Monumento Engº Duarte Pacheco, against the backdrop of the Parque Municipal.
Before and after the concert, the public will be invited to enjoy a space lounge, with a bar and music chill out.
The Municipality will also take advantage of this space to promote some of the most emblematic projects in progress, such as Loulé Criativo or Loulé Adapta.
On August 20, at 22 pm, the entertainment moves to the coast and attention turns to Quarteira, where fado singer Katia Guerreiro joins the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, for a show that will have as stage the Calçadão Nascente de Quarteira , integrated in the Festival Caixa a Sul 00.
The fusion of Fado with classical music will surprise the many tourists who visit this location during this time of year.
Back in Loulé, Tony Carreira, one of the most popular Portuguese artists, who has taken his music to Portuguese emigrant communities around the world, performs at Largo Monumento Engº Duarte Pacheco, on 27 August, at 21 pm.
Confirmed in this poster are also the HMB, who will give a concert in the renovated Largo D. Afonso III, half-walls with the Historic Area of Loulé, on the 28th, at 22:15. This is one of the most acclaimed bands at the moment in Portugal, in the area of drunk and r & b, with two albums released, several hits and many participations in festivals. In Loulé, they promise a lot of partying.
But before this concert, from 19:15, at Largo de S. Francisco, the animation takes place to the sound of electronic music with Loulé Urban Sunset by Hugo Tabaco. One of the most renowned Portuguese DJs will bring the relaxing atmosphere of the end of the day with his sets that will serve as an aperitif for the HMB concert.
In addition to music, Loulé Summer will feature a Night Parade, on August 26, starting at 21:30 pm, at Praça da República and Avenida 25 de Abril. It is a parade full of light, color and joy, with many performers that will cheer those visiting Loulé on this day.
By creating Loulé Summer, the Municipality of Loulé intends to «bet once again on an event that will surprise vacationers for whom cultural and recreational initiatives are increasingly attractive points in holiday destinations. After the MED Festival and the Noite Branca, Loulé Summer will be another initiative that aims to be a reference in the programming of events in the Algarve during the summer».
