The city of Faro she was the guest of honor at the parties in Huelva. The event began last Tuesday, August 2nd, and was attended by the mayor of Faro Rogério Bacalhau and with a performance by the Marcha da Bordeira.
The opening day of the Huelva festivities was entirely dedicated to Portugal. According to the Chamber of Faro, the performance of the Marcha da Bordeira «brightened the inaugural ceremony, with a performance offered to the thousands of visitors who flocked to the opening moment of the fair and turned on its lights, made up of thousands of lamps and hundreds of festive arches».
Faro and Huelva are twin cities, an agreement that has already resulted in several partnerships in the area of sport, culture and training and employment.
«This meeting allowed the holding of some exploratory meetings, and it is expected that the Mayor of Huelva will soon be able to travel to Faro, for the mutual definition of the next steps and projects», concludes the Chamber of Faro.
