The most important championship for access to MotoGP, the FIM CEV, which, for the third consecutive year, is present at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão, will have free entry to the main stand, with a ticket. paddock costing 5 euros and giving access to the VIP Tower and a view over the entire Algarve circuit.
It will be this weekend of the 27th and 28th of August that the three classes in competition (Junior World Championship Moto3, European Moto2 Championship and European Superbike Championship) will once again be on the Algarve track, in a paddock very similar to the World Championship and where almost all the teams that are usual in the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships are present, with their training teams or Junior Team.
More than 70% of the riders currently racing on the MotoGP world circuits have passed through this championship. Thus, from Maverick Viñales, to Jorge Lorenzo, passing through Alex Rins or Miguel Oliveira, all passed with distinction at the CEV, towards a career in the World Championship, in a clear demonstration of their importance as quarry of the World of Speed.
The Portuguese competition, present on the championship calendar since 2014, will be the sixth of the season.
On track will be Moto3, Moto2 and Superbike riders, in a total of five races (Moto2 and SBK are holding two races in the Algarve), which promise a lot of excitement.
With the Moto2 class, the Superstock 600 riders will also be on the starting grid, a class led by Portuguese Ivo Lopes. Tiago Magalhães will also be on the SBK starting grid. Ivo and Tiago are the only two Portuguese to fulfill the championship full time in 2016.
