loulé jazz trioThe Loulé Jazz Trio, consisting of João Pedro Coelho (piano), António Quintino (double bass) and João Pereira (drums), opens this Sunday, July 31, at 21 pm, at the closing concert of the 21st Festival de Jazz de Loulé, at Alcaidaria do Castelo.

The grouping was formed within the scope of an initiative launched by the Municipality of Loulé, last June, and chosen among nine candidates, in a final exam that took place on July 11, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, evaluated by the jury – chaired by Mário Laginha and with the participation of Pedro Moreira and Hugo Alves.

The Loulé Jazz Trio, according to the municipality, «is a novelty in the Algarve cultural panorama and intends to cement the work of two decades developed in the field of Jazz in Loulé, allowing the constitution of a regular offer in the area and, on the other hand, , the presentation of the group in national and international contexts, placing Loulé as one of the cultural destinations of excellence in the South and enabling the establishment of breeders in the Algarve region».

It is, therefore, a concert to look forward to.
