The bailiff of the county of Faro, who was arrested on monday, was under house arrest after being presented to the judge to apply the coercive measures. In addition to being prohibited from leaving his residence, the judge suspended him from his duties and decreed the prohibition of contacting other defendants in the process.
According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, another of the four detainees "was also subject to the obligation to remain in the house and the prohibition to contact other defendants."
The other two involved in the process were required to report periodically at the police station and, in one case, the man is also prohibited from leaving the municipality where he resides.
