Author crafts, regional and gourmet products and a varied entertainment program are the attractions of the Mercado da Alfândega that the Palácio do Tenente will promote on Saturday on the section of Avenida da República known as Rua da Alfândega, in Faro, from 11:00 am to 24:00 pm.

The cultural and collaborative commerce space from Faro will bring together 20 brands on this street, which became exclusively pedestrian following a recent redevelopment. This will be the first edition of the event.

At the same time, an animation program will run. During the day, there are AKI Brico-classes, entertainment moments with the Sê Mais Sê Melhor and Amarelarte Associations and a visit by Look-Al to points of interest in this area. At night, performances by the Atelier do Movimento and the Oficina do Jó are planned, as well as projections and music with DJ Toni Lee.

«The objective of this initiative is to value this riverside area as a place of commerce and stories. The Customs of Faro is located in the usual place, in front of the dock of Faro, place where for a long period (according to authors, between 1499 and 1874) the city market was held», according to the Palace of the Lieutenant.
