Better security conditions, greater fluidity in the circulation of the public and a wider and more open space are some of the novelties at the FATACIL venue, which will take place from August 19th to 28th, in Lagoa.
This 37th edition, with a renovated space, also marks the opening of the Lounge Space, which hosts the “aMAR a TERRA” and where it is possible to discover the most genuine things in the Algarve, from “Flor de Sal” to honey, to sausages, gastronomy or wines.
Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry are once again the privileged areas of exhibition at FATACIL, which maintains its tradition of quality and diversity in offering to the public and, this year, at the same time as it surprises visitors with a renovated look of the Lagoa Municipal Fairs and Exhibitions Park, modern and attractive.
The 2016 edition of FATACIL also celebrates Lagoa as the “City of Wine 2016”, honoring one of the most prestigious and recognized wine regions in the Algarve.
The wines, namely those from the Lagoa region, named “City of Wine 2016”, are highlighted in this year's edition of FATACIL, which presents the Lagoa Reserva DOP 2014, which staged underwater for over 3 months at Sítio das Fontes, on the Arade River.
The excellence of this wine invites the holding of a toast, with which it is intended to gather the greatest number of participants, making it a celebration worthy of being registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
Spectacularity is also the hallmark of the FATACIL Equestrian program, with numerous riding competitions and, in this year's edition, with the presence of the French rider Gari Zoher – who presents himself for the first time in Portugal – and the World Champion of Working Equitation , Pedro Torres.
Visitors to FATACIL have the opportunity to see an exhibition of 70 Lusitanian horses or undergo their equestrian baptism, experiencing horseback riding for the first time.
A quality musical poster with great diversity is a stamp of FATACIL, which this year presents the shows by DAMA, Anselmo Ralph, The Gift, Agir, Miguel Araújo, Quim Barreiros, Rita Guerra, Mickael Carreira, Ana Moura and Rui Veloso .
The Lagoa City Council «takes the lead in the 37th edition of FATACIL and reaffirms the event as the biggest event of the Algarve summer and a center of economic dynamism in the region, with more than 200 thousand visitors each year».
