Loulé Mayor Vítor Aleixo received, last Thursday, the regional representatives of the PAN – People – Animals – Nature, for a work meeting aimed at exchanging views and starting a collaboration between the Municipality. Loulé and the PAN.
According to the Loulé municipality, «during this meeting, Vítor Aleixo informed those responsible for the PAN of the work that has been carried out in the Municipal Kennel of Loulé, namely in terms of improving conditions for care and accommodation, as is the case with the expansion facilities for a better reception of animals'.
Another of the matters discussed was the use of herbicides with glyphosate in the Municipality of Loulé. Loulé Council says that Vítor Aleixo said that "the municipality is taking all steps to eradicate the use of this substance, which is highly dangerous to health due to its high levels of toxicity and carcinogenic potential."
This meeting also established the holding of three annual meetings, aiming at the exchange of information and the intention of deeper cooperation between the City Council and the PAN.
