River routes from the city of Faro to the beach of Faro and for the Farol/Culatra are already working.

These river routes, which normally only start on the 20th of June, were anticipated and are now available to residents and visitors.

The career to Praia de Faro, an alternative to access by land, which has been severely restricted due to road works to this bathing area, can be found at Cais das Portas do Mar, in Baixa de Faro.

There are departures from the city at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 14:30 pm, 16:00 pm and 18:30 pm. In the opposite direction, there are boats departing at 9:45 am, 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 15:15 pm, 17:30 pm and 19:30 pm. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

Anyone who wants to go for a swim at Praia do Farole à Culatra, there is a first boat from the Portas do Mar quay at 8:30 am. From the same location, departures to the islands are available at 10:35, 12:25, 14:45 and 18:45. In the opposite direction, there are matches from Farol at 9:20 am, 11:20 am, 13:10 pm, 18:00 pm and 19:30 pm.

Those who choose to go to Culatra only have a return trip to Faro at 9:35 and 17:30 (only the first and second to last boat of the day go to Culatra). Here, the journey takes around 40 minutes (another 10 minutes, for those who go to Culatra).

The boats remain in operation until at least the 6th of September.
