The medical evacuation was carried out by the EH-101 helicopter of the Portuguese Air Force (FAP).

The operation was coordinated by the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisbon), in conjunction with the INEM – Guidance Center for Urgent Patients at Sea (CODU-Mar) and the FAP.

The patient's evacuation was successfully carried out at 2:10 am, with the helicopter landing at the airport of Faro, at 3:10 am, and from there he was referred by the INEM Medical team to the Hospital de Faro, in a stable situation.
