At 16:45 pm, at the same location, the official launch of the “Maritime Citizenship” project will take place, under the responsibility of the Maritime Authority.

The day of homage to fishermen from Olhão continues at the Municipal Museum of Olhão, «a place with a very strong symbolic charge, since it was in that building that the Maritime Commitment once functioned», explains the City Council.

It is in this building that, at 17 pm, the Revista de Estudos Maritimes do Algarve – Embarco will be launched.

Thirty minutes later, the exhibition “Mãos do Mar de Olhão” is inaugurated, a selection of photographs from various periods that are part of the collection of the Municipal Museum of Olhão and portray the daily life of trades linked to the sea.

The celebrations of the National Fisherman's Day in Olhão close at the Municipal Museum, with a tasting of fish from the national auctions (mackerel and horse mackerel), an initiative of the responsibility of Docapesca.
