The second edition of the Algarve Nature Week starts next Friday and runs until the 22nd of May. This year, the Nature Show – between 13 and 15 May – takes place at Passeio das Dunas de Quarteira, in Loulé, and will bring together dozens of Algarve companies and local producers who will present their work.
But, over the ten days of Algarve Nature Week, there will be around 150 experiences outdoor that will make known the «other Algarve». According to RTA, which organizes the event, “there are experiences for all tastes – for the more adventurous, the more resistant, for those who like to relax with their family or for those who enjoy nature in a more peaceful and relaxed way”.
Diving and surfing baptisms, boat trips, visits to caves or routes on foot and by bicycle, whale watching, or birdwatching are some examples of available experiences, which can be consulted in www.algarvenatureweek.pt
Regarding the Mostra, RTA explains that «it has an intense entertainment program and will be the perfect opportunity to get to know the work of Algarve artisans up close».
On the first day of this initiative, all activities are free: from equestrian experiences in vaulting, mini donkey rides, target shooting, baptism of diving in a swimming pool, among others.
On Friday, the younger ones can try the mechanical surfboard, installed on an inflatable wave, play with the garbage, interact with dwarf goats or even knead their own bread.
«The Algarve invites you to discover the most natural side of the region at Algarve Nature Week, where original activities and lesser-known places will be unveiled in programs with special prices. There is a destination favored by nature to enjoy, especially out of high season» declares Desidério Silva, President of the Algarve Tourism Region.
