The pedestrian access to Praia da Falésia, in Albufeira, which was destroyed by the storm on November 1st, which hit the municipality, is being rebuilt but, despite being almost ready, it was not completed in time for opening. from the bathing season that started today.
The wooden staircase was left unrepaired for several months and is being repaired by the Portuguese Environment Agency, responsible for the work, but according to the Sul Informação found on site, the work is not yet completed. (see photo).
The mayor of Albufeira Carlos Silva e Sousa assured that «the works are practically being completed, and are being carried out at an accelerated pace».
