Penha UAlg CampusAmphitheater 1.5 of the Pedagogical Complex of the Campus da Penha of the University of Algarve receives tomorrow, from 9:00 am, the II Seminar on “Inclusion at the University of Algarve: the past, the present and the future”.

The event, organized by Support Office for Students with Special Educational Needs (GAENEE) will be attended by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Fernanda Rollo.

According to the University of Algarve, «the seminar aims to raise awareness in the community for the educational inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Higher Education. Projects carried out in Brazil and Spain will be presented and the work that has been developed by GAENEE will be made known to the Algarve community».

The opening session will be attended by the dean of UAlg, António Branco, the coordinator of GAENEE, Maria Helena Martins, and the president of the Academic Association of UAlg, Rodrigo Teixeira.

In addition to the themes related to the highlighted theme, the program also includes a play entitled “Reflection of a Soul”, performed by the Occupational Activities Center (CAO) of the Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy (APPC) of Faro and presentation of some successful inclusion stories of students with SEN at UAlg.
