The session will feature interventions by the president of the local authority Osvaldo Gonçalves, as well as the president of the Algarve Tourism Region, Desidério Silva, and the regional director of Culture of the Algarve, Alexandra Gonçalves, national partners of a project that spans Italy, Tunisia , Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Spain (Andalusia).

In the Algarve, the presence of the Umayyad dynasty was felt for more than three centuries (711-1031).
