It's late Faro NorthwestThe operation and maintenance services of the multi-municipal sanitation system in 21 locations in the Algarve will now be provided by Manvia, maintenance company of the Mota-Engil Group. To ensure this service, the company hired 135 new workers.

The award was made in a consortium and after a public tender by Águas do Algarve, and the contract has a duration of five years.

According to the company, the new contract "includes the Operation of facilities, Maintenance and conservation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electromechanical equipment, electrical installations and control, automation, remote management and supervision equipment".

Manvia is also responsible for the maintenance of air conditioning systems, surveillance, fire detection and extinguishing and gas detection, maintenance of transformer stations (PT), emergency generator groups and uninterrupted (AC) and auxiliary (DC) power units ), maintenance and conservation of infrastructure and buildings, exterior and interior cleaning of all infrastructure buildings, maintenance of auxiliary infrastructure networks and rainwater drainage networks, maintenance and conservation of roads and paths inside the fenced areas and maintenance and conservation of the interceptor and outfall range.

The environmental and occupational safety aspects relating to the activity of operating the infrastructures, controlling pests and weeds in the installations of the subsystems will also be ensured by Manvia.
