ask for the bioThe organic production of food and consumables will be in focus in Aljezur, from 11 to 16 April, with the «Week Ask for Bio», which is the result of a partnership between the Municipality, the Portuguese Association of Biological Agriculture (Agrobio) and the Quercus.

This initiative aims to “disseminate sustainable consumption not only in the area of ​​fruit and vegetables and animal products, but also in other consumables of biological raw materials, such as clothing and cosmetics. The idea is for both consumers and traders to think more about organic products, with organic farming being the only fully sustainable one that can align with the COP 21 objectives in terms of measures to reduce global warming», explains Agrobio, which promotes .

The mechanics of the initiative are based on the partnership with 17 municipalities and around 40 private partners who are actively involved for a week in the dissemination of the Bio.

In Aljezur, there will be several publicity initiatives, including, on the 12th, at the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo, a lecture on “Organic Sweet Potato – a good from Aljezur” (18:00), followed by the screening of the documentary “Bientôt dans vos assiettes!», by the French director Paul Moreira, presented in numerous film festivals around the world, namely at the Cine-Eco, in Seia (Portugal).

On the 16th, at 15 pm, there will be a visit to the «Alcagoita» farm, with a tasting of various products grown there.
