This year, this race will also count towards the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Ranking.

Organized by the Portuguese Cycling Federation and the International Cycling Union, the 1st stage of the national event is also locally organized by the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and the XDream Blásius Association.
