poster_fpr_2016The traditional flavors of the Guadiana River return to the Rio Fish Festival, on April 2nd and 3rd, in the riverside village of Pomarão. Lamprey, muge, eels and other delicacies from the municipality of Mértola are the bets of the taverns present at this 14th edition of the event.

«Centered on the products of the river, this is another edition of a festival, consolidated from this long ago, and which annually brings friends from Mértola, the river, its people and its products», explains the Alentejo municipality.

To accompany the gastronomic proposals, the Municipality of Mértola «presents a full program of activities for all ages, with emphasis on musical entertainment, with the presence of popular artist Toy, from “Moços D'uma Cana”, from the Folklore Group in Faro, the Lovers of Alentejo and the Real Aliança Velha, among others».

On Saturday night there will be fireworks.

The organization is the responsibility of the Municipality of Mértola in collaboration with various entities, clubs and associations.
