Traditional Solidarity Lunch of Easter Olhanense_2015_2Olhão will receive, on Good Friday, March 25, at 12:30 pm, the second edition of the Olhanense Easter Traditional Solidarity Lunch. The main course on the menu will be “griseus with eggs”, a choice that recovers the council's tradition of eating peas at Easter. The funds obtained at the lunch will go towards the purchase of a wheelchair for the athlete from Olhano, national champion in fencing, Hélder Farroba.

The Parish Council of Olhão explains that the first edition of the event was «a winning bet, with close to 300 people gathered at the table», which is why this second edition was scheduled, at the Franguinho restaurant.

As it is in Lent, meat will not be part of the menu of this solidarity lunch, which will have live music to cheer the participants up.

In addition to the “griseus with eggs”, there will be natural clams as a starter and the traditional Olhão folar for dessert. Lunch costs 12 euros per person, with 2 euros going towards this year's solidarity cause: the purchase of a wheelchair for Hélder Farroba.

During lunch, participants can also participate in a draw, for one euro, which has a tablet as a prize. The value reverts to the same cause.

Seats are limited to the size of space. Reservations must be made through one of the following contacts: [email protected]; 289 705 351 (JF Olhão) or 964 226 013 (President Luciano Jesus).
