António EusebioAntónio Eusébio was re-elected this Saturday as president of the Regional Federation of the Algarve of the Socialist Party (PS), with 94 percent of around 800 votes cast by militants from 16 Algarve councils.

António Eusébio was the only candidate for the regional leadership of the PS, announced by the socialists as “a consensus candidacy, in favor of internal stability”, with the elections taking place this Saturday afternoon.

António Eusébio defined as priorities for the next two years “the municipal elections of 2017, some banners defended by the party for the region and the fulfillment of electoral promises”.

“Our banners are the fight for the recovery and improvement of the National Health Service and hospitals in the region, with the replacement of skills and specialties, the requalification of the 125 national road, the creation of jobs and the reduction of the value of the A22 tolls. ”, he highlighted.

According to the re-elected leader of the PS/Algarve and deputy in the Assembly of the Republic, “in addition to defending the region's flags, another major objective is to contribute to national political stability”.

The remaining regional bodies will be elected at the XVI Federative Congress, which takes place in Tavira, on March 19th.
