HashishThe five men who were arrested on Wednesday and who belonged to an organized group dedicated to transporting drugs between Morocco and Portugal, carrying out the discharges in Tavira, were held in Preventive Prison, after being presented to the Criminal Investigation judge, announced the Public Ministry.

The men were detained as part of an operation coordinated by the PJ, supported by the Maritime Police and the GNR. The police action made it possible to seize more than two tons of hashish, as well as the boat where the 70 bales of this drug had been transported, a truck, a large-capacity car, money and communication devices.

The authorities had already had their eyes on the criminal group for some time, having made arrests in different parts of the Algarve.
