Downhill Algarve CupThe first stage of the Downhill Algarve Regional Cup takes place on one of the slopes of the S. Miguel Bike Park (Cerro de S. Miguel), in Olhão, next weekend, on the 27th and 28th of February.

The chosen track, guarantees the organization, will provide a fast race, demanding a great technical aptitude on the part of the athletes. The best Portuguese driver, Emanuel Pombo, is already registered, as well as Silas Grandy, a young German who has lived in Moncarapacho since the age of three and who is expected to have a great future in this sport. Those responsible also count on the arrival of international athletes.

Entries, open to federated and non-federated, can be made through the facebook page Algarve Regional Cup Downhill, or at the venue. On the 27th throughout the day and on the 28th until 10 am, there will be training sessions, starting the competition at 00:10 am.

The event is co-organized by the Cycling Federation and the Algarve Cycling Association and has the support of the Municipality of Olhão.

The S. Miguel Bike Park, in the municipality of Olhão, presents itself as a favorite place to practice this sport, having already seven tracks available.
