The Guadiana Space, in Alcoutim, will receive, on March 4th and 5th, the first edition of the “Jornadas do Mundo Rural. The initiative aims to promote greater proximity between agricultural and forestry producers, in order to boost these sectors.
Forest production and protection, Apicultural Product Diversification and Marketing, Pinhal Manso, agricultural production, olive grove conversion, the Algarve goat breed, associations, or community support and funds, will be some of the topics to be discussed at the conferences.
Amândio Torres, Secretary of State for Forests and Rural Development, Fernando Severino, Regional Director for Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, Valentina Calixto, Director of the Nature Conservation and Forests Institute of the Algarve, Vítor Neto, President of NERA – Associação Empresarial da Região do Algarve and Miguel Freitas, university professor and former deputy to the Assembly of the Republic, will be some of the personalities present at the event, which will have around 20 speakers.
The event is scheduled to open at 9:30 am and has free admission.
