The Interpretation and Environmental Education Center of São Brás de Alportel Quinta do Peral will celebrate its 8th anniversary with activities for the whole family, on Saturday, January 30th.
The party starts at 14:30 pm with a time dedicated to feeding the animals residing on the farm, in which everyone is invited to participate.
This is followed by a spectacle of magic, juggling and other circus arts by the artist «Quiquinho», which will liven up the venue until 16 pm, when a “Hora do Tale” will be promoted, with a special visit by Rato Blásius.
At 16:30 pm, the high point of the celebrations will take place, in which visitors will be challenged to decorate the birthday cake, under the guidance of a pastry chef, to then sing congratulations to Quinta do Peral.
«For 8 years, Quinta do Peral has been the central nucleus of the municipality's work in the area of environmental education, promoting the rediscovery of rural life and the value of nature, awakening in the youngest and the entire population the curiosity to know better the rural environment”, according to the City Council of São Brás.
Since it started operating, this interpretation and environmental education center has received children and young people from schools in the region, from different levels of education, as well as users of solidarity institutions, «with emphasis on groups in the area of mental health, which greatly benefit activities in contact with nature'.
Families are also regular customers, particularly at weekends, and the farm also serves as a place to hold birthday parties.
