The Forum Algarve's Ice Rink raised, from 14 November to 6 January, during the Christmas season, more than 15 thousand euros for solidarity purposes, which have now been handed over to three institutions of Faro.

While mounted in the central square of that shopping center, all ice rink users could help while having fun. To do so, all they had to do was buy an entry ticket worth two euros and they received, in exchange, a “Golden Ticket” worth one euro.

Inside the Ice Rink, there were three Christmas Trees, each corresponding to the supported institutions - PRAVI - Delegation of Faro, Refúgio Aboim Ascensão and Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy – Delegation of Faro. Each visitor chose an institution and placed their “Golden Ticket” in the institution they wanted to support. And the results couldn't have been more satisfying.

Thus, PRAVI - Delegation of Faro received 6.435 euros, an amount that, according to the direction, “will allow to continue improving the lives of all abandoned and needy animals that are and will be, in the future, supported by this institution, so cherished by the population”.

In turn, 3.536 euros were raised for Refúgio Aboim Ascensão, which "will be an asset in the co-payment of the cost of purchasing materials for the remodeling of the Institution's kitchen and cafeteria, which has been in construction for nearly 30 years" .

Finally, the Portuguese Cerebral Palsy Association - Delegation of Faro received the sum of 5.864 euros, which “will contribute to the purchase of a light commercial vehicle in order to support children in their context (home, schools, kindergartens, etc)”.

Sérgio Santos, the centre's general director, stresses that “Forum Algarve is always attentive to the needs of local institutions and through its social responsibility policy, it helps whenever possible. The Ice Rink couldn't have gone better! We are deeply proud of our visitors for having supported these three institutions, which, although different, also need support”.
