A man committed to the citizen, to democracy, to the future, to the path of all of us in uncompromising compliance with the values determined by the Constitution.”

The current rector of the University of Algarve says that he accepted the invitation because he considers that Sampaio da Nóvoa is the one in the best conditions to hold the position of President of the Republic.

António Branco recognizes in the candidate “a high sense of mission associated with great independence and a very keen awareness that it is only with a great involvement of all citizens in public life that confidence in democracy can be regained”.

Adriano Pimpão considers the invitation for President of the Honor Committee as “a commitment that I could not miss”.

He further emphasizes that “this is a candidacy that renews and refreshes the guiding principles of the office of President of the Republic, in a new conception of the values and references of political activity”.
