Since the 15th of January, the Hospital Particular de Alvor already has an Intensive Care Unit, consisting of four beds.
Intensive Care is a differentiated clinical area where care is provided to patients who need continuous and intensive surveillance, either because they are unstable with organ dysfunction or because they are at risk of failure of vital functions.
The Hospital Particular do Algarve is the only private health unit south of Lisbon that has Intensive Care. Now, with the opening of this service in Alvor, the Group now provides 12 beds for adults (eight are located at Hospital de Gambelas) and two incubators for Neonatal Intensive Care.
