University of Algarve students coming from outside the region are already entitled to a doctor

Students at the University of Algarve (UAlg), coming from other regions and without a family doctor, will, from this month of January, have the right to medical services in the area of ​​primary health care, announced today the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve (ARS).

For this, ARS Algarve provides a General and Family Medicine doctor from ACES Central in two service periods, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 13:30 pm to 15:30 pm, at UAlg's Medico-Social Services, located in Urbanização do Ferragial, nº 17, r/c, in Faro, to provide advice and health promotion to students.

This collaboration between ARS and UAlg aims to «facilitate access to health care for young people, specifically the university population of the University of Algarve who came from other regions of the country and abroad to study in the region».
