Athletes, coaches and clubs from the municipality of Vila do Bispo, who distinguished themselves throughout 2015, will be honored for their sporting results, this evening, at a gala to be presented by Eduardo Madeira. The event is scheduled for 21 pm, in the reception hall of the Sociedade Recreativa de Barão de São Miguel, and at the end of the night, there will be a Stand Up Comedy show with the comedian.
During the gala, 43 athletes will be called on stage in the disciplines of motocross, triathlon and duathlon, athletics, surfing, bodyboarding, karate Shukokai and Kickboxing. Five coaches of surfing, bodyboarding, athletics, Karate Shukokai and Kickboxing will also be honored, as well as representatives of 6 associations in the municipality.
The trophies will be awarded to athletes who have classified up to 5th place in regional championships, to those who have classified up to 10th place in national championships and also to those who have classified up to 15th place in European and world championships.
For the City Council, "this initiative aims to publicly recognize the effort and merit of athletes who stood out for their participation in regional, national, European and world championships."
At the end of the tribute to the athletes, the Musical Group Jô Kina & Bakorinhos will perform, followed by the Stand Up Comedy show with comedian Eduardo Madeira.
