This initiative marks the beginning of the collaboration between Sopa de Artistas and the Sete Sóis, Sete Luas Cultural Network, a network that the Municipality of Odemira has been part of since the beginning.

The exhibition to be presented in Italy brings together works by the artists Thomas Wimmer (sculpture), Gonçalo Condeixa (sculpture), Rita Morais (ceramics), Inga Geckeler (jewelry), Philippe Peseux (painting), Tabea Wimmer (jewelry and sculpture), Otto Taufkirch (painting) and Sofia do Vale (illustration).

The Chamber of Odemira explains that «Sopa dos Artistas was born in 2002 from the meeting of various plastic artists, of various nationalities, residing in the municipality of Odemira, with the aim of promoting artistic and cultural initiatives, publicizing the work of its members and contributing to the dynamization of the council».

The Festival Sete Sóis Sete Luas was born in 1993 and gave its name to a Culture Network that currently involves 30 cities and towns in 13 countries in the Mediterranean and Portuguese-speaking world (Brazil, Cape Verde, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Romania and Tunisia).

The network “privileges live and direct relationships with small centers and local artists. Its annual production and programming provide countless music, theater, dance, visual arts, gastronomy and tourism events».
