The Christmas season has once again brought entertainment to the Atrium shopping center in Baixa de Faro. For a few days, this commercial space, which has been closed for a long time, will gain new life for about two weeks, as a result of the pop-up stores that have sprung up all over the building's ground floor and the many activities promoted by associations locations.
After a first opening period, between the 11th and 13th of December, the «Atrium Baixa de Faro» reopened this Friday and can be visited until the 24th of December. Here, you can find the most diverse types of products, from gastronomic to handicrafts, passing through jewelry and even books and works of art. In other words, it is an opportunity to find different gifts, many of them very Algarve.
You can also enjoy various cultural initiatives, promoted by the different associations and entities that came together to carry out this project, namely the promoter Chamber of Faro, and the partners Ar Quente, Cineclube de Faro, Lieutenant Palace and University of Algarve
Yesterday afternoon, Saturday, there was no lack of entertainment at the Atrium, largely due to the hundreds of Father Christmases who invaded the downtown area of the Algarve capital. The elements of the Motoclube de Faro and many friends, took a break from their traditional Christmas parade to visit this space.
The house was filled with formally dressed bikers, in suits and red caps, who joined the many people who took advantage of the last Saturday before Christmas to see what the Atrium has to offer.
Those who went there found an art fair promoted by young artists from the Algarve. Today, Sunday, the program foresees a session of Microstory by ARCA – Recreational and Cultural Association of the Algarve and the musical animation is in charge of Discossauro.
The space «Atrium Baixa de Faro» can be visited between 11 am and 19 pm, except on December 24, when it closes at 15 pm.
