The III Guide to Nativity Scenes of Alte will be open to the public until the 6th of January. The outdoor exhibition can be visited in the streets of the village, and in some places in the parish such as Montinho, Sarnadas, Azinhal and Águas Frias.
The initiative “intends to turn Alte into a popular and religious art gallery, recovering the Christmas traditions of making nativity scenes in places with public visibility”.
According to the Municipality of Loulé, this exhibition also aims to “recover the symbolism of the nativity scene and the memory of popular Christmas traditions, stimulating the creativity, originality and solidarity of the people from Altes who come together to give a different color and warm Alte during this festive season. ».
This is a joint organization of the Municipality of Loulé, Parish Council, Parish, institutions and the population of Alte. The initiative is part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Municipal Museum of Loulé.
