The Rallye Casinos do Algarve will ride on the roads of Loulé and São Brás de Alportel tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. The Algarve race is the last in the current edition of the National Rally and is decisive, as both José Pedro Fontes and Ricardo Moura have legitimate aspirations to become national champion, taking into account that the current 1st and 2nd classified in the championship, respectively , are separated by less than ten points.
This situation makes us anticipate a lot of emotion and a close fight for the disputed points. For the winner of the competition, 25 points are reserved, with the second classified collecting 20 points and the third 17. In addition, there are four bonus points to be collected in the specials.
An extra incentive for motorsport lovers to watch the rally on the ground, together with the forecast of a sunny weekend.
Tomorrow, the first day of the race, the action will focus on the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, despite the official departure taking place from Praça da República, in Loulé, the nerve center of the race, which is also the arrivals area and where the podium ceremony will be held. But there will also be a symbolic game in São Brás tomorrow afternoon. On Sunday, the stage of the event will be the mountain parishes of Ameixial and Salir, in the municipality of Loulé.
This Saturday, the official departure will be given, in Loulé, at 12:30 pm, with the caravan to São Brás de Alportel. From 14 pm onwards, the Special Trials begin, with riders having to make two passes in each of the two sections of the day. The first is «São Brás» (Special Race 1 and 3, 11,46 kilometers), which starts at Cova da Muda and ends at Cabeço do Velho, passing by Pero de Amigos.
On the «Alportel» section (PE 2 and 4, 6,61 km), the riders depart from Boar towards Barranco do Velho, then heading south towards Cova da Muda, where the qualifying round ends.
On Sunday, the action starts early in the morning, around 9 am, and the riders have a longer way to go, in the specials. Also on this day, there will be two passages through the sections “Ameixial” (22,65 km) and “Salir” (17,79 km).
On the first circuit, PE 5 and 7 will be disputed. The section «Ameixial» starts a little south of Besteiros and ends in Revezes, after passing very close to Ameixial.
The PE 6 and 8 speed up on the “Salir” section, which starts northeast of Cortelha, passes close to this mountainous location and ends near the site of Cavalos.
The 2015 Rallye Casinos do Algarve will have a total of 117,42 timed kilometers.
For those who want to watch the Rallye Casinos do Algarve, there are several Public Zones (ZP) designated by the organization.
On Saturday, there are four spots to watch the race (follow the links to see maps and see description below), the first in São Brás de Alportel, next to the neutralization zone, on Avenida da Liberdade, where there is the possibility of seeing pilots and vehicles up close. In ZP 2, in Pero de Friends, you will be able to see PE 1 and 3 up close. In zones 3 and 4, located on the Boar and Seedling/Mint Pit, respectively, you can see EP 2 and 4.
On Sunday, there are three places designated to watch the Rallye Casinos do Algarve, one of which with the possibility of seeing the race going on in different stretches. The ZP 5, in crossbows, the ZP 6 at the Golden Court and ZP 7, in Cortelha are the places where the public should go.
In Cortelha, the ZP will be installed on the local Motocross Circuit, there are several areas to watch, namely «the asphalt hook to land», «the top near the embankment, which has good visibility» and «the passage near the asphalt of the N2 ».

Directions to reach the Public Zones:
PZ 2 but of friends – From S. Brás head towards Bico Alto/Arimbo, at the end of the asphalt head towards Pero de Amigos + 2500 mts
PZ 3 Boar – Access via the N2: Barranco do Velho follow the direction Javali, after 2500 meters you will find an asphalt hook to land.
PZ 4 Seedling/Mint Pit – Access via the N2: At Bicas da Serra, leave the asphalt towards Corgas Bravas/Cova da Muda/Menda, 5 km overland (Access 4×4 vehicles).
PZ 5 bullshit – From Cortelha, head north on the N2, after 12km you reach Besteiros, following a dirt road marked Pero Ponto.
PZ 6 Gold Cut – From Cortelha, head north on the N2, after 17km you reach Ameixial and turn right to Corte do Ouro. Follow approximately 3600 meters until you find the Special Test
