poster (2)Between 16 and 22 November, the municipality of Odemira hosts the Honey and Medronho Gastronomic Week, with the participation of eight restaurants. The main event “to promote two of the local products with the highest quality and tradition”, according to the Chamber of Odemira.

The event will have as participants the restaurants “Flor do Campo” (Sabóia), “O Escondidinho do Poço” (Odemira), “O Jaime” (Boavista dos Pinheiros), “Mar e Sol”, “Parreira da Ti Judite” and “Porto das Barcas” (Vila Nova de Milfontes), “Ponto e Vírgula” and “O i” (Zambujeira do Mar).

According to the municipality of Odemir, "in the menus there will be several dishes or snacks based on lamb, pork, turkey or salmon prepared in various ways with honey or arbutus and flavored with mint, rosemary, orange, lemon and ginger."

The desserts will also be based on honey and arbutus from the municipality of Odemira. Arbutus with chocolate, orange with cinnamon, honey and oil, pudding and honey pie, honey pudding flavored with arbutus, arbutus and arbutus semi-fried, are some of the delicacies that can be tasted this week.

The Chamber of Odemira states that both products "are considered strategic for the development and economic dynamism of the interior of the municipality".
