Portimonense vs FamalicaoPortimonense lost 3-0 to Famalicão at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão, putting an end to a successful series of four consecutive victories, counting for the II Liga and ten games without losing in the championship.

The home defeat of the Algarve does not prevent them, even so, from continuing in the second position, although they have lost a good opportunity to get away from the direct competitors that follow behind and to approach the leader Porto B, who tied, in this 13th round.

Portimonense's defeat began to take shape in an unlucky move, in which the home team ended up being a victim of bad weather in the region. The “Algarvian” Jadson tried to relieve a ball that was stuck in a puddle of water, but the ball ended up deflecting Chico, from Famalicão, and entering the goal, in the 20th minute.

A few minutes later, at 24, the visitors increased their advantage, still in the first half. Vítor Vinha converted a free-kick, which deflected the barrier and deceived goalkeeper Ricardo Ferreira.

The Algarvians reacted, were looking for the goal and had two good opportunities to reduce before the end of the first half. Halfway through, the audience claimed a penalty, but the match referee didn't agree. A few minutes after the restart of the match, Famalicão scored again, through Vítor. Portimonense continued to look for the opposing goal, with insistence, but was not able to score an honorable goal.

Portimonense is in the 2nd position of the II league, the 13th round, with 23 points, three less than the leader Porto B.
