“Concretizar dreams” is the motto of the company CJ Decor, based in Lagos, and the businesswoman Jacinta Carvalho. “Each decoration project that comes up is a dream come true for every customer who sees the birth of the house of their dreams, with the ideal decoration. It is always very gratifying to hear compliments about the store from our customers and visitors”, says Jacinta with a twinkle in her eyes.
But it is also the life motto of Jacinta Carvalho who pursues her dreams to give them shape and fulfillment. CJ Decor is the apple of your eye, with it he grew and made it grow, always looking for new opportunities to innovate and explore the unexplored, to give his best to each client.
Jacinta Carvalho, woman, mother of two and businesswoman, divides herself between the various tasks that each of her functions requires, with the determination and dynamism of wanting to do better.
Of Portuguese nationality, born in Viana do Castelo, he immigrated to France as a baby, where he lived until he was 22 years old, where he studied. He graduated in Accounting in Paris, where he worked in the secretarial and accounting area. Life wanted her to return to Portugal to get married, settling in the Algarve, in Lagos. There she followed and worked (and works) in her husband's company, in the area of housing construction.
Ten years working in the construction field, but always wanting to create his own job. The search for personal and professional fulfillment made her be aware, as she had an unfulfilled dream.
He never dreamed of having a decoration store, but at the time, the construction area opened doors for the decoration of houses and from there it was a step towards the idea of opening a decoration store with a professional in the sector.
Then, CJ Decor was born in 2000. However, at the moment of moving forward with the partnership, the partnership was broken, leaving Jacinta Carvalho with the project in her hands. And here the great step of your life is taken. Grab the company CJ Decor and launch itself in the market. A medium-sized store with a confection atelier, one of the first of its kind to open in Lagos.
Jacinta has come a long way to become acquainted with the company's business area, training, attending national and international theme fairs to explore the products, brands and keep up with decoration trends. "I ended up by be with a child in the hands, yes, CJ Decor is the girl I ended up not having, who gives me a lot of headaches, takes away many hours of sleep, but, on the other hand, it brings me a lot of happiness, a lot of joy and well-being”.
The hard work, dedication and passion made the business flourish, so much so that, five years later, in 2005, CJ Decor acquired the store next door, increasing its commercial space to 500 square meters.
CJ Decor, dedicated to interior design, has an open store with an exhibition of decoration environments for the whole house, with various items and styles and with its own confection atelier.
It offers a free decoration consulting service, which allows providing solutions for the decoration of a family or commercial space, making it more comfortable and pleasant.
And it's been 15 years with the door open, making dreams come true, with a solid portfolio of customers, partners, expansion and always looking to innovate and expand.
Jacinta Carvalho is, today, a more active, mature and strong woman, who continues to dream and want to do more and better with the apple of your eye. “The future of CJ Decor is always to grow. We would like to purchase a warehouse to free up space in the store. Develop personalized service with 3D projects presentation. More visits to customers' homes to help with decoration. Consolidation of our team and qualification of it. Focus on the difference. Extend visits to international fairs. Continue to invest in human resources. Our mission is to provide an excellent service in the area of decoration, to continue to make dreams come true”.
