Os two solidarity lunches held at UAlg to raise funds for the construction of a school in Malambanyama, in Zambia, where former UAlg students are volunteering, raised €300,90 for this cause.

The lunches took place this Monday and Tuesday, in the canteens of the University of Algarve – Penha and Gambelas – and, in all, they had lunch – and contributed – 391 people.

In Penha, on October 19, 146 people tasted the delicacies cooked by the autonomous section of African students of the UAlg, and in Gambelas there were 245 participants.

In terms of direct revenue from the sale of lunches, 195,50€ were raised in the two days, but another 227,90€ were donated for the construction of the school.
