The Halloween spirit will invade the historic center of Portimão between today, October 30th, and November 1st. Cinema, music or themed dinners are some of the activities that will be promoted by associations and commercial establishments in this area.
From today until the 1st, The Void Films & Contramaré – Associação Cultural de Portimão will organize the “Halloween Horror Film Festival” at Sociedade Vencedora Portimonense. In addition to the movie poster, which starts at 21 pm, there is also a show by Professor Herrero (Ilusionist, Magician, Hypnotist, among others…) scheduled for 00:23 pm. According to the Municipality of Portimão, «Rua Prof. José Buisel (nº 64 – 1st), right in the center of the city's historic area, will be one of the poles to discover the proposals for this Halloween that promises to scare even the most fearless».
The conviviality and scary music continue at Bar A Marginália, located on Rua do Arco das Maravilhas, with a Warm-Up Party tonight and, on Saturday, with a Halloween Party.
At Taberna Cool 33 Living Cool, on Rua João Anes, there will be a themed Halloween dinner prepared by Chef from Portimonense Amelie and with music by Dj Simon. With the motto that “Things will happen…”. The space is receiving dinner reservations for October 31st.
The Pote Cheio Restaurant/Bar, located on Rua Manuel José de Alvor, will also be introduced with a mysterious decoration and, on Saturday 31st, discounts will be available for witches, zombies and vampires.
«The screams of the Halloween party will be felt in the Porta Velha Bar (Travessa Manuel Dias Barão)», according to the Portimonense local authority, «with drinks alluding to the theme and with breath-taking snacks».
In turn, the new space “A Casa da Tocha”, on Rua Senhora da Tocha, “features a wine list and a mouth-watering menu and always with personalized vermouths. A space that deserves to be visited because of its location in the city's historic area, but also because of its cosmopolitan offer».
The entrepreneurs of the commercial spaces of Rua Damião Luis Faria e Castro and Rua Dr. José Joaquim Nunes «united and imbued in the spirit of living the haunted traditions, will promote on October 31 various initiatives alluding to Halloween -Halloween with themed dinners and allusive decoration». The Municipality of Portimão explains that «the motto will be to recreate flavors with the “flavor” of new traditions».
At the Taberna de Portimão, the gastronomic offer presents a special Halloween menu «to keep witches away, where there will be no shortage of candles, spider webs and pumpkins».
This festival in the Center joins the areas of Praia da Rocha and Alvor that annually celebrate this anniversary with music and themed drinks.
