Emergency plane lands in FaroA Ryanair airline plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport of Faro, this Sunday at 9:25. The operation went off without a hitch, but the situation motivated the civil protection agents who are part of the Preliminary Intervention Plan (PPI) to be placed on yellow alert.

The airline's Boeing 737 departed from Lanzarote, Spain, bound for Shannon, in the Republic of Ireland, but technical problems have forced a "priority landing" at the Algarve Airport, according to a source from Bombeiros Sapadores de Faro.

This caused some constraints on air traffic, forcing other planes to "burn time", but in the end, "luckily, everything went well", revealed the same source.

Before landing, the Ryanair plane released much of its fuel for safety reasons.
