5th stage of the National Sea Canoeing Championship this Saturday on the coast of Lagoa

The fifth stage of the National Sea Canoeing Championship takes place tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, starting at 15 pm from Praia Grande (Ferragudo) and arriving at Praia da Senhora da Rocha (Porches), in a course of 14 kilometers.

The competition is promoted by the Portuguese Canoeing Federation, Kayak Clube Castores do Arade, Regional Canoeing Association of the Algarve and the National Council of Arbitration.

In this fundamental step to award the national titles in dispute in the different categories, 19 clubs and more than 100 athletes are registered – among them some of the best Spaniards today – in the Junior, Senior, Absolute, Veterans A, B and C and Absolute categories.

There will be trophies for the top 10 Clubs and medals for the top three boats in each category.

The Câmara de Lagoa, which supports the initiative, emphasizes that canoeing is a sport that "already has deep roots and high expression at local, national and international level" and allows to publicize the "natural potential of the municipality, which it offers to all lovers of this type of events related to nautical sports, all the conditions for moments of leisure and entertainment, with quality and safety».
