The new Esteva Family Health Unit will start operating on the 1st of September, in Vila Real de Santo António.
Installed in two centers, with its headquarters in the Vila Real de Santo António Health Center and one in the parish of Vila Nova de Cacela, USF Esteva brings together a multidisciplinary team, consisting of six doctors, six nurses and four technical assistants.
With the doctor Maria González Mora as coordinator, this USF will cover around 11 users from the parishes of Vila Real de Santo António and Vila Nova de Cacela.
According to the Algarve Regional Health Administration, «this new Family Health Unit intends to offer all its users a wide range of activities expressed in its action plan in the area of care provision and health promotion, ensuring greater accessibility, greater proximity, and greater quality of health care in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António and simultaneously contribute to obtaining health gains».
The headquarters in Vila Real de Santo António will be open from 8:00 am to 20:00 pm every weekday (medical, nursing and administrative assistance), while the Vila Nova de Cacela hub will have opening hours from 8:00 am to 16:00 pm, Monday to Friday. fair, with medical assistance from 8:00 am to 14:00 pm, with the presence of the nurse and administrative staff guaranteed from 8:00 am to 16:00 pm.
With the entry into operation of the USF Esteva, 10 Family Health Units will become operational in the Algarve, covering around 100 users in the region.
