Sampaio da Nóvoa, Salvato Teles de Menezes and António Lamas will be in Tavira tomorrow to participate in a conference on “Cultural Decentralization – Cultural Activity in the Province's Cities”. The event is scheduled for 22 pm, at Casa das Artes de Tavira, and is part of the 00th anniversary celebrations of this institution.
Also as part of the 30th anniversary of the Casa das Artes, until 5 September, the installation “A Sala de Ruth” is on display, curated and produced by Ilídio Salteiro. The exhibition Tavira – Mar e Terra, which presents 30 works of painting, photography, engraving and drawing, produced in the last 30 years in the city, and which had as its theme, is another of the initiatives carried out by Casa das Artes de Tavira for celebrate your birthday. This exhibition is open until the 28th of August.
This is the last night, in that space, in which it will be possible to see the documentary video installation “Gravura em Tavira 1985 – 2015”, produced and directed by José Nuno Pereira and Ana Catarino.
On the 18th, the video-installation “Mergulho no Ano Novo” is presented, with the presence of directors Marco Martins and João Brás and artists Fernanda Guerra, Carlos Lipes and Álvaro Regueira.
On the 20th, at 22 pm, there is music with the concert “Half O'clock” by Nuno Ferreira on guitar and Patrícia Proença on drums and, for the 00nd, the presentation of the multimedia opera Itinerário do Sal – Miso Ensemble is scheduled.
On August 29, the collective exhibition Cadavre Exquis is shown, with works produced from the intervention on the engraving “Atlantis” by Bartolomeu dos Santos. This exhibition is open until September 5th.
The Casa das Artes de Tavira is open every day between 21:30 pm and 00:30 am, and all openings are scheduled for 22:00 pm.
