The GNR arrested two men for drug trafficking and seized a "considerable amount" of hashish and cocaine, in different criminal prevention actions carried out in the early hours of Thursday.
The alleged traffickers, aged 21 and 33, were caught in Albufeira and Quarteira.
In Albufeira, the military of this police force discovered 520 individual doses in the possession of a man, from whom 470 euros were also seized, which the GNR suspects were the result of the drug's sale.
In Quarteira, the man who was eventually detained was approached by police after he was seen throwing away a package, which contained 66 individual doses of cocaine and 23 of hashish.
The detainees are being presented to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of the Public Ministry of Albufeira and Loulé for the possible application of coercive measures.
