A 22-year-old man was detained by the Lagos PSP for domestic violence. The aggressor injured his girlfriend with a knife in the early hours of Thursday, and fled, but the police managed to arrest him late in the afternoon of the same day.
The PSP says that the man assaulted his girlfriend "in the upper back" and the woman had to receive hospital treatment, but was discharged the same day.
The young man, who was already being investigated for similar crimes, on the same victim, was presented to court on Saturday and presentations were decreed at the PSP and a ban on contact with the woman who had been attacked while awaiting trial.
