The Piaget de Silves Institute will be on several beaches in the Barlavento Algarve to promote health. The Health Education and Promotion Center of the School of Health of that institution will promote the campaign «Awareness for sun protection and recommendations against heat», in July and August.
This is the third consecutive year that Piaget de Silves promotes this project on the beaches, whose objective is to «instill healthy lifestyles» among the population.
In addition to calling attention to the precautions to be taken when walking in the sun, the campaign also includes screenings, «namely, blood pressure assessment, assessment of the Fat Mass Index (BMI) by nursing professionals and students» .
«A postural assessment will also be carried out, proprioceptive exercises and relaxation techniques will be carried out by professionals and students in the field of Physiotherapy. The advice and assessments carried out have no cost for users», added Piaget de Silves.
