CCDR AlgarveThe Management Committee of CRESC Algarve 2020 approved the first 75 applications for community funds associated with this Operational Program of the Algarve Region, managed by the Regional Coordination and Development Committee of the Algarve and which runs between 2014 and 2020.

The projects approved last Friday were all presented by companies and are included in the measure «Incentive System, domain of Competitiveness and Internationalization».

Among them, the projects that received the green light have an associated investment of more than 4,6 million euros and a contribution from structural funds, via ERDF, of around 3 million euros. «It should be noted that compared to the homologous period of the QREN (year 2008), CRESC ALGARVE 2020 registers a very significant increase in the level of demand and the number of approved projects quadrupled», illustrated the CCDRA.

"Approvals concern different competitions, in the area of ​​Productive Innovation and Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship, as well as Valleys (Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Innovation, Research and Technological Development)," added the same entity.

The Board of Directors of PO CRESC Algarve 2020 is headed by the president of the CCDR of the Algarve, David Santos, and also includes the professor of the University of Algarve Efigénio Rebelo and the president of AMAL – Algarve Intermunicipal Community Jorge Botelho.
