The Castle of Silves can now be visited virtually through the Street view from Google Maps. The monument is the only one in the Algarve that can be seen in this application, and one of the few Portuguese castles available in the tool.
«Panoramic images of 360° horizontally and 290° vertically allow site visitors to see the entrance to the Castle of Silves from the ground up, as well as its interior, from one of the towers», reveals the Chamber of Silves in a note sent to the newsrooms.
The images were captured by a Google team that went to the site for the purpose and can now be accessed by everyone who visits the site.
